Zayn Malik Breaks Silence on Yolanda Hadid Allegations

Zayn Malik has broken his silence on allegations that he shoved Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, during an argument.

Speaking on Call Her Daddy, via the Daily Mail, Zayn said, “I don’t get involved when people talk online. My most valuable thing for me is time and I don’t want to be justifying myself. I knew what the situation was and I knew what happened and the people involve know what happened and that’s all that matters.”

He added, “I didn’t want to bring attention and I didn’t want to get a negative back-and-forth with her, any sort of narrative for my daughter to eventually read it. I believe I dealt with it in the best way and that’s all that needs to be said. It was a lot of negativity.”

Back in October 2021, Yolanda claimed Zayn “struck” her. He posted a lengthy statement at the time, reading:

“As you all know, I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press. I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and giver her the privacy she deserves.”

According to court documents, Zayn allegedly “grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain.” He denied this to TMZ, saying, “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid, and for the sake of my daughter, I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move toward healing these family issues in private.”

Court documents also alleged that he called Yolanda a “f*cking Dutch slut.”

Zayn ended up pleading no contest to four counts of harassment. He was ordered to serve 90 days probation for each charge and complete both an anger management course and a domestic violence program.
