Looks like Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are skipping the 2024 Met Gala—which isn’t exactly surprising given Nick’s announcement on Instagram just a few days ago.

In case you, for some reason, aren’t following Nick (how! dare!), he hopped onto the Jonas Brothers’ official account to reveal that he has the flu—and has to cancel shows in Mexico as a result. “Hi guys. I have come down with the nasty strain of influenza-A that’s been going around, and I’m not able to sing at the moment,” Nick said in the caption. “We always want to be able to give you guys the best show and I’m just not able to do that for these shows in Mexico at this time.”
He said pretty much the same thing in a video, explaining, “A couple days ago, I started feeling kinda rough, lost my voice when I’d woken up, and grinded that night out to be able to play the show in Cancún, and the last two, two and a half days, it’s just gotten progressively worse. I was basically in bed all day yesterday, fever, body aches, sore throat, and really bad cough. Saw a doctor, and basically just got to the decision this morning that it’s not gotten any better, I’m not going to get out onstage tonight and play these shows.”
This announcement comes on the heels of The Jonas Brother announcing that they’d be “shifting” their upcoming European shows to later this year, which fans were...not thrilled about.
“Europe!! We’re shifting our upcoming shows to later this year,” they said in a statement. “We appreciate your love and support so much. We know this is a bit inconvenient, but we can’t wait to share more about what’s coming. 😏”
