Alex and Elys caused a stir on the show after they both ditched their former partners, Megan and Hunter, but it was clearly the right decision as the pair got very close very quickly. We all remember that 12 minute kiss right?
Episode six saw Lana send them on a date, while Elys has also opened up during one of the challenges about why she's scared of relationships, touching on her parents' divorce.
She was then taken out on a date by new grenade, Bryce. However, the date with Bryce further cemented Elys' feelings for Alex.
The pair had a final date where they got incredibly close and Elys asked Alex if he wanted to be her boyfriend. Alex said yes, however, whilst speaking to camera, he said he felt unsure about the relationship as he wanted to go travelling.
Alex was then given a choice by Lana to leave the retreat that evening with $25,000 or stay and commit to Elys. Like Louis, Alex opted to stay in the retreat and commit to his girl.
Elys was nominated as one of the potential winners of Lana's prize fund of $100,000 alongside Dre, and was voted as the winner by her fellow cast mates.
In a very sweet gesture Elys offered to split the prize fund with Dre. And the surprises didn't end there as during their final chat to camera, Elys and Alex confessed their love to each other which was very sweet to see.
Alex and Elys still follow each other on Instagram, however they have confirmed they are no longer together. Speaking after the series ended Elys revealed the pair dated for six months after the show but things didn't work out.
"I am a single pringle that is ready to mingle," she said. "Unfortunately it didn’t work out with Alex after the retreat, however, we did stay together for around six months. It was an amazing, intense six months. We had a lot of fun. Sometimes things just don’t work out."
Alex then revealed he is now in a new relationship, saying: "I’m in a very happy loving relationship at the moment."
