That's right, the love story between Rachel and Nick is coming to the small screen as HBO have confirmed that a brand new adaptation of Kevin Kwan's best-selling book series is in development.

Yes, it has! Six years after the film's release, a spin-off is in development with Casey Bloys, the chairman and CEO of HBO and Max content, revealing to Variety that a Crazy Rich Asians TV show is coming.

Speaking about the streaming services upcoming projects, he said, "There are other properties like The Conjuring, which is a big movie franchise that we’re developing into a series, as well as Crazy Rich Asians. We’re developing in DC, the Green Lantern property, as a series as well."

Who will be in the cast of the Crazy Rich Asians TV show?

As the series is still in development, we don't know for sure but we do hope that Constance Wu and Henry Golding would reprise their roles as Rachel Chu and Nick Young.

Plus, we'd love to see more of Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, Michelle Yeoh and Ken Jeong on our screens. Fingers crossed!

What might be the plot of the Crazy Rich Asians TV show?

As the TV show is likely to be based on Kevin Kwan's second book in his trilogy, 'China Rich Girlfriend', we can expect the story to explore Nick and Rachel's relationship further.

In particular, we'd see their journey towards marriage, navigating their relationship during family difficulties, particularly with Michelle Yeoh's character, Eleanor Young.
