Netflix's See You On Venus ending explained

We love a feel good film, and Netflix's latest offering of See You On Venus is a perfect one to watch this weekend.

Starring Virginia Gardner and Alex Aiono Rob Estes, the movie follows Mia and Kyle, two strangers who become friends and travel through Spain to try and track down Mia's birth mother.

Kyle finds Mia's mother

When Mia realises that none of the 10 women she tracked down were her mum, she is understandably devastated.

But, Kyle then takes another look at her birth certificate and realises that they mistook one of the letters as an 'A' when it was an 'O', and because of this, he is able to track Mia's mum down.

Mia ends up in hospital

Due to Mia's heart condition, she ends up in hospital where they discover her heart is growing weaker and she has to undergo the important surgery to save her life.

Here, Kyle finds out that Mia only has a one-way ticket to Spain and she admits that she never intended to have the surgery until she met her mother, to which he storms out.

Kyle remembers the car crash

Outside of the hospital, Kyle finally realises that the car crash he was in that caused the death of his friend, Noah, happened because their other friend, Josh, had distracted him with a video which caused him to lose control.

He calls Josh, who was disabled in the accident and apologises, to which Kyle also admits his responsibility then says they both need to learn to forgive themselves.

Here, he realises Mia's intentions and goes back to say he would take her to meet her mum if she agrees to have the operation.

Mia meets her mum

Finally, Mia reunites with her mum who embraces her with open arms. It was a serious tear-jerker of a moment!

Then, Kyle takes her to a beautiful mansion landscape where they dance, but soon, Mia collapses and has to go to the hospital where she immediately has surgery.

Then, the film flashes forward to Kyle and Mia going on another road trip as she survives the difficult surgery. And they all lived happily ever after!
