Looking for an adventure thriller to set you on the edge of your seat? Then put River Wild on your list. The new Netflix film, starring Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, sees a white-water rafting trip between friends and siblings gone wrong when one of them is attacked.

Joey realises that Trevor was the one responsible for Van's death, which Gray tried to help cover up as years prior, Trevor took the fall for Gray when he was found out to be dealing drugs by the police and was sent to prison.
We also learn that Trevor assaulted Joey when she was a teenager, which is the reason she was so unhappy to see him on the trip, and that Gray did not defend her and continued being friends with Trevor. But, Gray ultimately tries to stop Trevor from hurting anyone else to which Karissa and Joey quickly escape and Trevor shoots Gray.

He survives and Joey goes back for her brother and helps an injured Gray up on their repaired raft while Trevor chases them in a kayak. The rivers currents are strong but Trevor soon catches up to them and the entire group end up capsizing on a riverbank. There, Trevor pins Joey to the ground and stabs her but Gray grabs him and throws them both off a massive waterfall, sacrificing himself to save his sister from Trevor.
With Trevor and Gray dead, Karissa returns with a mountain rescue helicopter to save Joey but she is hidden underneath thick foliage. So, Joey decides to fight and stumbles out near the shoreline, calling out to the chopper. Karissa spots Joey, and she survives.
