In the pods, Johnie explained her "longest relationship was with someone who struggled with addiction", but that wasn't her husband. It was an ex-boyfriend. Two years after their break up, she moved on with her ex-husband, called Mike, and married him. Someone then contacted her on Instagram and revealed her ex had died of an overdose.
Johnie described her partner who died as an overdose as "the only person I have ever loved in my entire life" in the pods, adding to Izzy om the show, "My ex-husband was basically like a rebound."
