Swifties assemble! Taylor Swift is back for the next leg of the global Eras Tour, and we're counting down the days until she arrives in the UK. From the friendship bracelets, to sign making, to outfit planning, the anticipation is real. And one of the biggest things of the Eras Tour we're looking forward to finding out is which surprise song Taylor will be playing at our city (and every other one TBH).
If you've somehow missed this part of the Eras Tour, during the three hour set list Taylor performs a number of additional songs that usually change between each performance, giving each tour date their own unique experience.
So which songs have made the cut? And which has been the most popular surprise song Taylor has performed? Here's the low down.

What does the surprise song on the Eras Tour mean?
As part of the three hour long set list of the Eras Tour, Taylor performs two extra songs from her extensive discography during the ninth act of the show. The first of the songs is performed acoustically on the guitar and the second on the piano.
Taylor announced her plans for this fun feature in the tour during the first night, telling fans she was only planning to do each song once.
"The plan, the goal, would be to play different songs every single night and never repeat one. Right? So that when you heard one on this tour, you would know it’s the only time that I was going to play it in the acoustic set, unless — caveat — unless I mess it up so badly,” she said. “That I have to do it over again in some other city. Send your best wishes towards me that I don’t do that.”
They've become one of fans' favourite part of the Eras Tour, with many fans on TikTok showing off their spreadsheets they've made to cross off which songs she's played and which she could potentially be singing next.
Is Taylor still doing surprise songs on the Eras Tour?
When Taylor initially announced she would be doing the surprise songs, she said she would never repeat a song, however as the tour has gone on she's changed this rule for herself slightly and repeated a number of songs.
And she addressed this change during her Melbourne show on 18th February, where she said she wanted to be able to be as creative as possible and not feel as if she was limiting herself.
"This is sort of like a public service announcement … I’ve been thinking, I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward. I don’t wanna limit anything and say, ‘Oh, if I’ve played a song before I can’t play it again.’ So from now on, I don’t wanna take any paint colours out of the paint box of colours … I want to be able to play songs more than once if I feel like it, and I wanna be able to make changes to songs," she explained.
So there we go, there's definitely a chance when Taylor plays in your city she could be performing a surprise song she's already done in the acoustic set.
Which songs have been the most played surprise songs?
So far the song which has been played the most as a surprise song is 'You're on Your Own, Kid' , which has been played four times so far. This is followed closely by 'Maroon' which has been played three times. And then 'Clean', 'Our Song', 'Death by a Thousand Cuts', 'Snow on the Beach', 'Red' and 'How You Get The Girl' have all been played twice.
