Obsessed with Bridgerton? Us too! While we have a few weeks to wait until part two of season three drops on Netflix, we do now know what Colin Bridgerton wrote about Penelope Featherington in his diary.
The third season follows the relationship between Colin and Penelope as she enters the marriage mart, and Bridgerton fans have now decoded Colin’s diary entries from his travels abroad.
Even Lady Whistledown would be jealous of these sleuthing skills! So, what did Colin write about Penelope in his diary? Here’s everything we know. Thank us later, Bridgerton fans!

So, on 30th May, Netflix uploaded a photo on X (formerly known as Twitter) of actor Luke Newton as Colin writing away in his diary. Now, someone has zoomed in and deciphered what it says in the diary entry.
The diary reads: “And then there is my friend Penelope. Perhaps the smartest person I have ever met besides Eloise. The two of them together would have so much to say about this city.” We can’t cope!
Plus, at the Bridgerton Museum (yes, really!) in Bucharest, Romania, there is another extract from his diary on display. It reads, “June 19. Another day in paradise but things are truly starting to loose their lustre.
“After my travels last year when I wrote so much and received very few replies,” I am trying out a new personality,” he continues. “A new way of seeing the world and interacting with others.
“I want to be less needy, less insecure, while still maintaining the core of my vulnerability that makes me who I am. I am a Bridgerton man.”
Part two honestly can’t come soon enough!
Bridgerton is streaming on Netflix now.
